akerstrom > Most of the plants have been removed. It sure looks bland without landscaping and my, that Cypress tree sure got large in the last few years! The courtyard wall will have an arbor with wisteria and a gate. The landscaping will be whimsical, cottage, English garden style.
akerstrom > The pile of concrete is from the walkway that lead from the driveway to the front door. Instead, Connecticut Bluestone flagstones will meander from the curb to the front door. An arbor and gate are replacing the iron gate at the courtyard wall.
akerstrom > No more yellow ochre and turquoise paint. All of the neighbors were very excited to see the change.
akerstrom > The new exterior paint color is Dunn-Edwards Bison Beige and the casement window is new. Are bison that color, I thought they were more brownish?
akerstrom > This will be our idyllic courtyard, laid with Connecticut bluestone and framed by whimsical flowers. The roses have been adopted by our neighbors.
akerstrom > The front room we call the library next to the foyer. The short wall will be capped with cherry and finished with a cherry newel posts about five inches higher than the walls. Newel posts are found on antique staircases.

akerstrom > We still have lots of knick-knacks left over from the estate sale, with the exception of our carpenter's tools. We are so fortunate to have Mike.
